For the most part, I only occasionally check the General board, and most of the posts regarding Z1 are laughable. I caught SeedyRom's collection post this morning and read through several of those threads. Many of them I'd seen before and even posted in a couple. But no, I don't catch all of them. I especially like this one: La-Z-Link Part of my position on Z1 is that I've been there several times and just realize how they operate and who there to deal with. Another part is that I'm not shopping for a motor, and probably won't anytime soon. But I see a LOT of threads on here from 300zxclub type folks that just don't make any sense, and it's ridiculous to post something bashing a company when you don't have a legit beef. Given the way you responded initially, I suppose you realize you were one of the main people I was calling a "Z1 basher" :-) Given the work you do for other Z owners, I wouldn't call you out, but sometimes your posts regarding Z1 are a little over the top given that you haven't actually had any experience with them and are simply going by what other people say. Now in light of some of these other posts, maybe some of that is warranted :-) In the past, I'd mostly caught the lame ones, but some of them are rather intriguing. But my first real post in this thread was regarding shops being crooked. For the most part, the compaints about Z1 aren't about crooked tactics, but rather poor customer service. Then someone accuses another "well-liked" vendor of something quite crooked, and it seems like most people just don't care. But man, if Z1 was accused of the same thing, people would be all over it. But that Sport 500 issue is very interesting. And I like Guapo's response in that thread... "Yeah, could be gross negligence instead of fraud." That sorta put it all in perspective.
